low platelets!

I just found out that I am having low platelets count (142) at 28 weeks test. My OB has advised me to take another test around 34 weeks and she said that I Can't do anything to help the levels increase naturally.
Anyone having/had this? And any piece of advice for raising the levels naturally?

There is nothing you can do to increase your platelets naturally, however sometimes as your blood volume stabilizes it will increase on its own.

My best friend had low platelets with her last baby. She had to be induced because it was a planned induction with no pain meds. She wasn't allowed to get an epidural due to her low platelets. She did a great job going natural. She's pregnant again with her 5th child and due in August and I don't think her platelets are low this time.

I am having the same problem, but they told me when I was about 16 weeks and have been tracking it ever a since. I haven't had a rise in my levels and my doctor told me there is nothing I can do. Plus all the research I've done on my own says the same. Looks like it's just one of those things.
