Best video monitor?

I would like to buy a secure video monitor. It needs to have fairly good range as the nursery is upstairs and the master bedroom is downstairs.  I prefer one that operates on the FHSS frequency and is thus more secure and unhackable. Any suggestions?  Any to avoid? Thanks!

We got motorola one. While I loved it while it worked our 1st one lasted a yr and the 2nd one only lasted a yr too. Eventually the sound dies completely

I have a Summer Infant and after a year it started acting really weird and then no longer had a signal every time I turned it on. We did a ton of research before deciding on it too! At first, I thought someone was hacking it because the camera would just start to move up on it's own, but then I realized that it was only moving all the way up to the ceiling when my daughter cried loudly or squealed while playing. I still need to call the company, but it was a gift (can't find the receipt now) and purchased just before my daughter was born (July 2013), so I'm not sure if I'll get any answers or a replacement...
I've never heard of anyone else having any problems though. Maybe we just got a dud.

I love the Motorolas. Get one that cannot connect to a cell phone.

Unfortunately everything can be hacked... Summer infant is my personal brand favorite. Look around and see if one of those suits you.
