massage or pedicure

My birthday is this month. My due date is actually two days after my bday. So I can't decide how to treat myself. Would you get a pedicure (which honestly I really need) or a pregnancy massage. Im 38 weeks. I dont have much time left. I wish I could do both but obviously that's a lot of mula and I can't decide what I want to do.

I am both a massage therapist and a nail tech so I say either is great :D lol but seriously it is up to you. It would obviously be nice to get your feet pampered simce most women can hardly even reach them by their due date but a massage can be just as good b/c it will relax you and help with all your aches and pains. There are pressure points on certain parts of your body that may trigger labor but both nail techs and massage therapist are trained to avoid these in pregnant women.

Yea I think the pedicure it will be. My hubby cant do massages. He is scared of hurting me when he massages me lol but I think a massage may be uncomfortable laying on that table and idk. Now I'm convinced of the pedicure lol thanks ladies your input helped

You're 38 weeks, I say totally go for the pedi! Im 38 +3 myself and would do it. Both the massage and the pedi can stimulate labor (not always) by triggering certain points. But now that you are in the "safe" zone, most places will welcome doing it for you. My birthday was a couple weeks ago too- I asked for someone to clean my bathrooms! Happy Birthday!

Pedicure. I always get a pedicure before my due date, I want pretty feet for delivery. Lol.
I would say most places will do pedicures. There are supposedly pressure spots on your feet that can cause you to go into labor, but they will avoid those spots during the foot massage.

I heard you cant have a pedicure in the third trimester. Something about foot massage stimulating labor!
Im not sure how true it is but some places won't touch pregnant women's feet because of it!

A pedi would be a lot cheaper. Plus your feet are going to be in the air while you push so why not make them pretty. Plus your significant other can give you a massage and that is free.
