medicaid?

I see that some women were able to get a breast pump through their insurance, does that work with medicaid? Any ladies with medicaid receive a free pump or were able to get it for 6months

I know I called Medicaid here where I live in NC and they told me they do not cover breast pumps. I called WIC and they said you can borrow one from them.

Heres the link if you have wellcare of Georgia :https://georgia.wellcare.com/member/default scroll down and you'll see the OTC list link that you can click on. Also they do baby showers for expectant mothers. My friend went and she won a bassinet. They also give you a new stroller and car seat and in some states they give you the option of a pack n play as well.

Yes, apply for wic. Some states will let u use a pump of theirs. SD will give u a medela pump worth $300 if you breast feed / pump exclusivly and don't have to get formula from them. It always worth the try to ask. Good luck!

I believe you can...doesn't hurt to go through lumina and see...they just emailed me about my pump today. ...I know here in Georgia the medicaid has a list of supplies that you're eligible to order from monthly. Includes alot of helpful free stuff like diapers, wipes, infant tylenol etc. I ordered when I had Medicaid...so u may want to check that out as well.
