I have a sore throat, and stuffy nose with a slight cough. What over the counter medications can I take for this?

To be safe, I did'nt take anything medications when I was sick, I just drank hot tea, lots of water and rested, it was horrible. I had went to urgent care and the doctor there basically scared me and suggested I take it like a champ because he said "cold and flu medicines are not really tested on pregnant women" its been months since I've been sick, I am 7 1/2 months now and I am getting sick again with a bad cough and I'm soo scared because being sick and pregnant is HORRIBLE :( especially if your not taking any medication like... hopefully whatever I have passes QUICK, I can't afford to be sick.. =/

I take benadryl. I know it will not take care of all of your symptoms but might make you less miserable. It is on my obgn list. Good luck and feel better.
