missing soft cheeses

i was at this fancy event yesterday - there was the beautiful selection of brie and blue cheeses - so tempting!

blue cheese i think has to do with the mold. i just reminded myself that brie goes right through most of the time even before i was pregnant.  i did eat the fresh goat cheese - since nearly all of those are pasteurized.
the event was at a fancy hotel, so the brie might have been imported. goat cheses are usually local - so safer.

I did get a cheese to wear my prettiest most flattering dress one more time while it still fit! i'm 8 weeks, it will not fit much longer (tight on the boobs)

You can still enjoy them. Almost all soft cheeses sold in the US are made with pasteurized milk. You only have to be concerned with they cheeses made with raw milks. That can be brie or feta but most likely what you get in a grocery store is made with pasteurized milk. So enjoy!  It's not the softness of the cheese but the risks associated with raw milk :)
