I just wantef to know how many weeks can you go on Maternity leave in California o work as a house keeper at a casino cleaning 16 rooms a day I'm getting tire real back pain times I can't move to the point a cry and my right leg from my hip all way down to my knee cap gets so numb at it Burns that I can't walk. I'm 27 weeks I'm due Dec 12 I been at my job for 2years.plz help me to understand I really don't know who this maternity thing work and mu HR department is no help at all

My sister lives in cali and according to their state laws you get 12 weeks of paid fmla. You don't even have to have disability to get paid

There is also fmla...  family medical leave act. It gives you 12weeks off but a note from your doc saying you have to leave work is better

If theyre going to give you paid maternity leave is 6 weeks with normal delivery an 8 if its by c_section... if your doctor thinks u need tak it sooner bcs u kant work then most likely they hav to giv u disability
