mucus plug question

Are they clear? Or always pinkish or blood streaked?

Mine has never been colored (third pregnancy now). I start loosing mine weeks before labor but I know some people don't loose it til labor starts so I don't think it is indicative of anything except you are probably starting to dilate.

I have 40 days left and I have had a thick mucusy boogery long stuff comming out for past few days mostly when I walk a lot there was a lot one day and last night some and its clearish yellow no blood in it ...can that just be discharge or is it my muscus plug it was a lot mkre than normal discharge for me to think its not mucus plug and then last night started I thought contractions sharp pains in my pelvic vag area and lower back and I went to bed and was ok I woke uo today its been on and off today too can I be going into labor ...I have dr apointment tuesday so if I don't go before then to hospital I'm going to have them check me but just woundering before then ?

Mine was a fairly large clump of clear mucus (a good tablespoon full) that looked like someone mashed jello down and sat it in my undies. Never had anything else come out looking like that before or after. (Lost that at 35 weeks, 37 weeks now.) No blood or color.

I lost mine yesterday in about 3 intervals .. The first had blood in it and if its your mucus plug you will know .. Its name says it all.

Mine was stringy and looked like a long booger this time (4th pregnancy). With my first, it was blood tinged.

That would be awesome! I really dont want to be induced.. i am startkng to dilate already anyways so.. yeah. Woop woop!

Yep that sounded just like mine when I lost it. I went to the doc the next day for my appt and the did a membrane sweep and about 3 days later my water broke..everyone is different tho! Someone lose theirs and then go into labor the next day.

Hmm good to know. :-) do you have to lose your plug before you go into labor?

Mine, with both pregnancies looked like a mucus ball that would come out of the noise (tmi sorry) it wasn't any certain color. It is possible that you can just pass heavy discharge also.

Mine was brownish red and fell out most of the way while sitting in triage in l&d. The nurse told me that it was part of my plug

I felt something wet coming out.. similar to when you start a period, or if a little pee snuck out, so i went to the bathroom and pee'd and it was as if i was wet after sex or something. I was 1cm dilated yesterday but have been feeling like short, sharp, pulsing pains on and off so i was wondering if it could be my plug coming out.. it was clear, all i saw on the tp was pee. Sorry tmi maybe.

Mine was clear with my first. I had never heard of them having blood in it til I got on this app.
