my cat!

I'm 36 wks pregnant, and ive had my cat since he was 7 months old. Ima housewife/stay at home mom, so its usually just me and him all day while ny husband sleeps and all night while be wrks. Hes always followed me around and slept with me since we got him, but the further along I got in my pregnancy, he really became attatched! Stays right by my side, follows me to the bathroom, if I'm the only one home, he will wait for me to get out of the shower either on the sink or hell stick his head inside the outter curtain. Is this normal? Ive heard of dogs doin this, but cats? Anyone else?

i have a lovely female tabby cat and she would of never ever let u lift her or lay close to you, even to pet her, it would have to be on her terms! but since being pregnant she will come and lay on my tummy for a while and she will always come and sit and look at me for ages! I love cats tho!! always have :)

I actually researched this. Because 1 of my cats became super loving and attached to me when I started showing at 6 months pregnant. He sleeps right next to me, always having to touch me if I move. He even sleeps on my lap with his head resting on my belly. So I read that cats can actually detect the differences in your mood, posture, behavior, & body chemistry when you're pregnant. They're also masters at reading body language. So they notice when your movements start to get more awkward. And they even notice changes in your daily routine. For example, maybe you're not taking the dog for a walk as often, spending more time on the couch, & even family members treating you with extra care! Studies have shown & proven that domesticated animals can help reduce depression, improve your mood, lower your blood pressure, & even help you live longer!

I have 2 uppity siamese. Theyre usually pretty reserved and quiet. Well theyve taken to laying with me and following me around. Its so cute. The dog...... acts no different! Still jumps on me. Shes a border collie too, suppoesdly the smartest dog breed.
.... mhmm... lol

Cats are smarter. More intuitive!
