nasal spray

I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and have had a cold for a few days.  The only thing that allows me to breathe is a nasal spray equivalent  to afrin.  I used to be addicted yrs ago but now I only use it in dire emergency....like before eating or bed because I can't sleep if I can't breathe through my nose.  In the past 3 days I've only used it at night and a couple other times during the day when it was really bad! I try to hold off as long as possible without using it. And  I only use 1 or 2 sprays and usually only in 1 nostril.  A nurse at my doctors office just told me not to use it anymore but I wanted to know if anyone thought the little bit I've used in the past 3 days could have done any harm to the baby.

You should try nasal strips! They worked great for me

No one has responded...I'd really like some input to ease my mind....I don't really think anything is wrong but I'm just curious what u all think
