Yeah a woman at my job said I shouldn't lift my arms up over my head because it wraps the umbilical cord around baby. I think she is just old and is not a mescaline professional.  I asked about restrictions and they said none so onward an upward we go

It's an old wives tale and 100% not true. Goodluck!

Nope,  it's not true, I am 37+6 days. And i am doing prenatal yoga where I have to stretch and raise my arms up. It is totally normal

Agree with wyattsmom.  It's an old wives tale.  Recently, a lady stopped me from hanging up my coat because she told me raising my arms above my head would cause the umbilical cord to wrap around my baby's throat and strangle him. Ummm....If that's even possible.  Besides, last I checked, babies don't even breathe oxygen in the womb.  It's provided by the placenta.  You're fine.  Just don't overextend yourself.  :)

You probably shouldn't lift heavy things, but otherwise no problem

It is an old wives tale. They used to say that if you reach over your head you can wrap the cord around the baby's neck. It is not true and only some older people still think this.

I've heard you shouldn't reach up high, but it's more about over stretching and  over extending as you get further along. Early on I don't think it makes a difference. As your belly grows you just have to be careful about what you do so you don't pull anything or fall off balance. It will get harder the bigger you are anyway, but you can keep doing what you normally would. Just do it more carefully.
