Thanks y'all I will talk to them
Is she in a hospital bed?? Is there anyone else that can help you? Talk to a physical trainer about proper body mechanics so you don't overdo it
I am a nurse. I'm a LPN have a semester left will be an RN. We suggest a home nurse because, the stress that it takes to take care of an elderly person while pregnant isn't good for a pregnant woman. I Didn't know that in Florida your only qualify for three hours that's sad. But since you must rolling her will be your best bet
I worked as a nurse for 7 months of my pregnancy and what the above posters have suggested is what I did... Also I would talk to your ob because they know your health limitations best and could maybe give you further pointers
Your more then welcome good luck to you and your mom!
But with the draw sheet under her you won't have to do that you just pull the sheet and she will roll for you it also helps when you have to pull her up in bed I would recommend you doing that yourself though
Thanks Jlynn I am not high risk my baby is fine. I just don't want to harm my baby while helping my mom. I will try that technique next time
Also when you roll her to change her if you pull from her shoulder and where her leg bends under her knee it's much easier and your not putting much work into it
I'm a CNA currently out of work due to high risk so my doc doesn't want me lifting do you have a draw sheet under her? It helps a lot when rolling her to change her and also positioning her
We have those program they only cover 2 hours a day for 3 days. All I am asking if there is any nurses that work with bed ridden patients while pregnant. How do I position without hurting my baby.
What country and state do you live in? In Illinois, USA they have a program that seniors can sign up for to get a free personal nurse. It is for low income seniors. But, you shouldn't be lifting her at all
