obamacare

Is anyone else worried about how their insurance is going to change?  Is there anyway to find out ahead of time what will be covered in terms of l&d?

Mine isn't changing. We recieved a letter from our insurance company a few weeks ago that said it already met all the new regulations and it wouldn't change. That's a huge relief.

Best way is to know is  to call your insurance.Mine only covers her until I walk out the door of the hospital, if I chose to insure her under mine, I have to call them after she is born, or if I chose to put her under my husband's plan, same thing...

It depends on who provides your insurance.. as far as women's health, obamacare has actually improved a lot. For example, it's now a federal law that newborns are covered under their mothers insurance at delivery, which is amazing for us because my partners insurance (which will cover our daughter) doesn't start until a few weeks after she is born, but she'll be covered for 30 days under my insurance maternity policy. My insurance provider has a way to access statement of benefits right online, so you can see what is covered and what is not.. yours mignt too?
