Stayfree brand is really nice. I am pregnant now with my first but I used both pads and tampons before. I alternated depending on flow. What I like about them is the dry cottony cover. It keeps you dry. Well drier. Or Kotex. The dry cover ones. I never liked the always one because they didn't keep you dry feeling. When my sister in law had her kids she would keep some in the freezer to use. I plan on adopting that idea. I would imagine a cool to cold pad would feel pretty good after delivering a baby! Lol. Good luck.
My favorite with my past two is the always infinity....not super bulky but absorb everything!
That freezer idea is brilliant! I will def try that!! I'm partial to the Infinity ones myself.
I'm with kelli, I used always infinity and have been surprised by how thin they are and how well they work!
Anything super/overnight absorbancy and THIN! I thought I would just use the hospital pads when I had my son 2wks ago....I don't know what I was thinking! They only have the super duper thick ones which are terrible when all your lady parts are all swollen.... trust me you won't want anything but maybe a cold pack touching you down there, makes it near impossible to sit when sitting is already difficult. I sent my hubby out to wally world as soon as I could, poor guy was so confused but he found them, major brownie points!!!
Good luck with everything!!!
Thanks for all the advice ladies!!!
I used always nights with my first baby they were great! with the maternity pads I felt like I was wearing a nappy!! :-/ but these were perfect! . . . and the freezer idea is a stroke of genius, ill def be trying that!

I'm having my first as well. I have used Always ultra thins/ or Always infinty for my cycles for the past few years. I am stocking up on the overnights with wings and as well as the step down from that in absorbency. I've not really liked any other brand and the bulky pads were more uncomfortable just on my normal period. I've also heard of refrigerating/freezing the pads to have something cool and soothing. I will be doing that.
