pelvic and back pain

Hi everyone,
I'm 26 weeks and 5 days pregnant. For the past two weeks I have had excruciating pelvic pain to the point where I can't walk. I also have the sciatica back bone pain, excuse me if I spelled it wrong, however,  it's the pelvic pain that worries me. I've tried laying down to feel better but that definitely doesn't work even to sleep it's horrible and I have been drinking plenty of water. I want to call my ob/gyn but I feel they'll just tell me it's normal like they usually do with any symptom due to being pregnant. This is my second preg and I definitely didn't go thru this with my first, in Oct 2012.  Any advice to relieve the pain??

Don't fear telling your doctor just because you think they'll tell you "oh that's normal". They are there to monitor you and your baby's health. Tell them anyway, and ask them how to safely relieve any pain. I have a lot of pelvic pain, back pain, sciatic pain as well and my doctor set me up with a physical therepist that specialises in pregnancy. Also, just because something is 'common' doesn't always mean that it is 'normal'.

A lot of my pain is related to how my pregnancy is affecting old injuries, yours may be for other reasons.

I hope you can find some safe reliefe. I know how debilitating it can be.
