period after positive test results?!

I took a pregnancy test days before my period and it came out positive.  Then, 2 days before my period I started spotting so I figured it was the implantation bleeding. But today It looks like I got my period! Has anyone gone through this? Btw. ..this would be my 4th child.

Spotting was bright red but now it's kind of dark red. No severe cramps.  I guess I jumped ahead by taking a pregnancy test. I should have waited until after my period.  Well, I'll see in a couple days. My periods are usually heavy the first 2 days and right now it doesn't seem heavy.

70% of fertilized eggs do not implant.
In some ways early pregnancy tests are a curse, but ateast you know you are actually ovulating. It is actually a sign of fertility

Some women still have spotting and I've known several who had a period until 3 months pregnant. If you're worried then ask a doctor.

Could be a chemical pregnancy.  Basically u conceived but it was not able to implant or was unsuccessful so your "period" came. I suggest seeing a dr to make sure everything is ok.

Sounds like a chemical pregnancy.  :-(  You can always call your doctor to ask for tests.
