I know Im thinking the same thing, I did not know this and Im not looking forward to it. Do you cramp and hurt like a regular period? If so Im really going to be in trouble.
I was super lucky only bled for 2.5 weeks
Why did no tell me this BEFORE I got pregnant?
Mine was 6 months :) when u breastfeed u safe longer xx
Breastfeeding has a big impact too as it helps to contract your uterus quicker and expel any left over material more efficiently. They just warned me to look out for blood clots and the midwifes will want to check your pads for the first few days (or at least that was the request to me 4 yrs ago after a section). My experience - its never the same experience as anyone else - everyone and every birth have variations. x
Phew. Thanks! Everyone keeps worrying me about this and that since its my first pregnancy. Hopefully the aftermath won't be as bad as i was told. :)
I had a section first time and bled for about 3 days afterwards. Natural birth I was told up to 2 weeks and if it goes on any longer to consult doc. They give you an injection to avoid heavy bleeding and shift placenta more efficiently. Not sure if its just a UK thing though. Not sure what I'll be told this time as it seems to change all the time :-) everyone is different and totally dependant on the type of birth you have.
Yeah i think every 1 is different mine lasted 5 wks x
I had c sections and still bleed for about 4 weeks :-/
I think everyone is different. Some have it as short as 3 or 4 weeks and some have it longer closer to 7 or 8 weeks.
