plzz help im so confused

My  baby's water is falling short n im 39 weeks so the doctor gave something called an enema, its used to empty the bowl n induce labour n is taken through the anus... when the bottle was half emptied I got an urge to go to the bathroom n it came pouring out(so sorry 4 the details) so now I kinda think it didnt work, n now 5 hrs later I dont feel any labour neither proper bowl emptiness. .. who tried this be4? N did I do something wrong?

Yea my doc told me of ur close to ur due date it can put u in labor.

Enemas are just to clear ur bowls before labor around 37 weeks I do one once a week just to be clear when I go in to delivery it does not start labor at all it cleanses I did it with all pregnancys.

I'm in health care and a enema is only to clean your bowel. It won't induce you. They give it to people men and women when they haven't had a bowel movement in so many days usually but in your case to prepare you for labor.

I was told it kinda works like castrol oil, the diarrhea will help start contractions. .. I live in Sudan so I cant get much help form the clinic

An enema doesn't induce labor. It just empy your bowel.

Oh wow. Hnm I thought those were just to clean you out before they actually induce. If you don't have your Dr number call your l&d and let them know to see what they say.

Call your Drs office, they should have an after hours nurse that will call or page the Dr.

It says on the bottle it also induces, I dnt have the doc's no. She wudnt give it to me.. shud I do another one just in case or is it dangerous?

The enema is only suppose to empty you bowel. Not to induce. They use that sometimes before labor so you clear your bowel up and not poop all over. Call your Dr and let him know.  When will he be having you go to the hospital to be inducd?

Call your Dr and see if you can try castor oil it works the same way
