prenatal vitamins

So ladies lots of you I am sure are not taking them. Trust me I don't want to either but I had a blood test done this week I take my vitamin every night before bed cause makes me sick have since i got prego with this said I am borderline anemic from my blood not producing red cells like it should which my organs may not get what they need major fatigue not enough oxygen in my blood. I now have to supplement with Iron on a daily basis.  It may not directly affect baby but I strongly suggest talk to your doctor pay attention to your lab tests to make sure you can go without them I guess some of us can't and I have seen some false info from some who don't want to take them just be careful take care of your bodies!

Neither post sounds rude to me. Vitamins are very important, and for those who seriously can't tolerate them (like above) making sure you get your vitamins from another source is your way of taking care of your body/baby. Good for you :). I too had to go on an iron supplement along with my vitamins. Anemia is no fun, extra extra tired.

I am sure your doctor is taking good care of you and is sounds like you have tried it all however i have seen posts in the past that some women don't have to take them cause baby is healthy and great or some don't want to. I haven't seen very many posts that say there can be complicatons with not taking them I just wanted to let people know that I now have a complication and I have not missed a day of taking them I am now monitoring my diet I wasn't before I wish everyone luck in making Decisions that are best for yourself as well as your baby

Any vitamins while I am pregnant makes me sick to stomach can't keep food or any liquids down I have tried just the individual different ones gummy for adults and kids the chewables for kids and adults same thing happens whether I am pregnant or not my doctor is aware and told me to eat things that contian the vitamins naturally to make up for it which I do but I am rh negative so I eat extra of some of those things to be on the safe side but not all women can do it how I have to either it helps some but not quite enough in my case but my doctor does moniter me and baby more often every appointment and heartbeat ultrasound and feeling of belly has been done. There is always pee sample done blood pressure etc. Taken he is such a great doctor and geninly cares for his patients and their and the baby's health.
