Soda and caffeine.

Is a can of soda or a cup of coffee really bad if it's once or twice a month? I'm not proud of it but I use to have a can of Pepsi a day before I got pregnant. Now, I only have a can or two once a month. Advice?

Once and a while is fine! FYI it's pop not soda ;) haha that's a big thing up in the NE. We call it pop and think it's funny when people use the term soda.

I crave soda too...still try to limit how much I drink. My dr told me it's because of the severe morning sickness...something about the sugar and how fast it cam be absorbed before I would throw up again.

Soda doesn't have much caffeine if that's what you're concerned about. Coffee has way more. One every once in awhile, you'll be fine. I have a can of soda more than once a week from time to time

It is fine to have it once every couple of days i am a big pop drinker and I  try to limit my pop or coffee consumtion. I've found later  in my pregnacy that pop will give my baby hiccups. So I've been sticking to juice and  water as much as i can.

I can't live without my coffee, went from 3-4 cups a day to one in the morning. And here and there have a soda...as long as they are not the only things you drink all day every day I was told it's not a big deal. Was just told to not drink diet soda, if I want one it should be regular with sugar, not sugar substitute

The Doctor told me I'm allowed to have one cup of coffee a day. I've only drank it 3 times my entire pregnancy (26 weeks) because it gives me the worst indegestion ever plus I don't need it every day.if your only having a can once a month or so you and baby will be just fine.
