I walked had sex bounced danced ran lifted heavy all trying to not be induced by 42 weeks midwife sd its time to let medicine help. :(  my first baby I was induced w as well at 40 weeks and a few days I asked for that though. With both I hit 3cm dialiation and completly efaced. I think around week 38or39 I'm gonna try the primrose. Hope to soften my cervix. I'm 25 weeks now

hey,
i did the tea with my first and plan to do it again with this baby. I plan to start at 30 weeks with one glass a day. I didn't enjoy the flavor but drank it anyway...it did grow on me by the end.
i felt that i had nice strong pushing instincts with my delivery. the thing is that it is hard to tell if it worked cause i had no reference point. So all I can say is that I felt it was a good experience and worth doing it again.
just to clarify it is suppose to help tone your uterus. you should work your way up to four cups a day by the last few weeks of pregnancy. make sure to steep for 10 minutes to get medicinal effects, do not squeeze the bag let it drip and then discard. best steeped with a cover.
it also helpful to continue drinking it after you deliver. the toning effect will help your uterus shrink back to its normal size more efficiently. it is also said to be helpful for milk supply.
if you experience cramping or contractions it is best to stop. it is not suppose to kick start labour but some people react to it and its not fun having cramps.
i enjoyed the experience and i hope you do too.
p.s. for first time moms who want a smoother deliver look into perineum stretches, great for moms who worry about cutting and tearing.

I read the tea doesn't start labor its more of a muscle toner. I'm not trying to start just yet but anything that might help ease my natural birth is fine by me!

I've read and heard good things about primrose I personally haven't tried it yet. Just stay active, have lots of sex, bounce on a birth ball, walk as much as you can. My first was breech so I never went into labor and had a c-section at 39 weeks. So a lot of this is new to me. I am going for a vbac so I am right there with you wanting to start labor naturally. If you find something that works please share :P

I was induced with my last two babies I want to "go" on my own with this one. Will the tea help with that? What about primrose?

It helps to strengthen the uterus so when you go into labor you get more of a bang from the contractions. It's goid to drink year round. I like the loose leaf better. I mix red raspberry, peppermint and honey every morning. I love it.
