restless leg syndrome

Has anyone had restless leg syndrome with their pregnancy?  Along with not being able to sleep my legs bother me at night.  Any suggestions?

When I had it in the second trimester I use to stretch out before bed and eat a banana. Sounds weird but it worked

I got it a couple of times and drinking water and elevating your legs know a pillow helps. Also  gentle massage works wonders

I've had RL for 20 years. It always gets worse with pregnancy. This might sound strange but the best tip that I've found for relieving it is to cut off a bit of circulation to that area. So for my legs I tuck them up under me for a few minutes at a time. It gets harder as your belly grows but your legs can still go either side...just make sure your belly either touches the bed or is supported by a pillow. I get it in my arms too so I usually tuck them in underneath too. Good luck : )

Yes! What worked best for me was to walk around a lot right before bed and a long hot shower. It seemed to help calm my legs down. It was terrible. Hoping it doesnt happen this pregnancy too. Good luck
