I found out I'm A negative a few weeks ago haven't had my jab yet as I'm just 26 weeks. But yeah I was terrified at first but done lots of research and spoke to some of my friends who have negative blood too and feel alot better after asking them about it and how their pregnancy and births went. X

Your doctor should have explained it to you. I'm A- and I got the shot at 28weeks..  when I go in to give birth, If my baby has a positive blood type then I have to get another shot.  And it doesn't affect your current pregnancy, it affects your next pregnancy, but only if you Dont get the shot after you give birth and only if your babys blood type is positive..  you should really ask your doc about it. Don't be shy to ask the doc all kinds of questions!! I do every time I go in and this is also my first pregnancy.

This is nothing to be concerned about. Im B neg and my baby is AB pos. They will give you a rhogam shot before and after delivery to prevent the formation of antibodies to RH pos blood. This is very common and your baby will be ok :)

I'm b neg too and got anti d injection at 30wks only because i bled a tiny bit.but didnt get one after she was born cos she was o neg blood type. Im due second baby in 4wks and have had an awful lot of complications this time.i asked them do i need the ante d and they said none of the complications are to do with my blood and i havent been bleeding so i dont need it. My 1st child turned out perfectly healthy and as far as i know this baby is, shes just huge though.dont be worrying all will be fine.best of luck.

My 1st 2 babies had pos blood group and I'm neg. As long as you get the shots of anti d after any knocks/falls/bleeds you have, and at 28 weeks and after delivery of baby you and this baby plus any others you have will be fine. I'm on baby 4 so far I've never had any cross over of babies cells to mine as always got the shots when needed all my kiddies are healthy :)
