shadow on heart

Hello, I went for my 20 week ultrasound earlier this week and the Dr said that they saw a shadow around my baby's heart and I have to go for a level 2 ultrasound or fetal echo. I looked it up and it said that a shadow could be a  sign of down syndrome. I am freaking out anyone else been through this?

Had the level 2 ultrasound and fetal echo, my baby has a healthy heart. The Dr didn't see anything but the cardiologists are still reviewing the pics to be sure.

Same situation with me. My little girl has an little piece of calcium built up in her heart. We saw a specialist and they are mot at all concerned b/c blood work all looks good. They told me 100% of the time the calcium piece will disappear. Her measurements all look normal too which us another good sign. Everything will be okay :-)

My daughter has it to but Bc all my blood work is negative it's nothing to worry about. I was told they literally see babies every week with this and it's just a soft marker. It has to be present with other things in order for DS to be considered. It just happens to be something DS babies have. I was worried sick but now I'm 38 weeks and I have faith she's ok :)

My baby girl has it too. we did the fetal echo ultrasound and the Dr is not worried at all. I also did the blood draw earlier in my pregnancy and am very low risk to have a baby with DS. The cardiologist said that nowadays the ultrasounds r soooooo detailed that they can see more than they used to b able to and that the white spot is nothing to b concerned about. I hope this eases ur mind. Try not to stress I'm sure everythingbis just fine :)

Try to stay calm and take it from the next ultrasound. No need to freak out beforehand (but I know that's hard to control). Did the Dr say anything about it more than you need another check up?
