shaving

My husband says I should shave down there because it's getting long but I can't see down there's I'm 31 week today.  As a pregnant women should we shave or not cause hair does protect you from infection.

I sjqve every once in a while. I'm only 18 weeks and I still can't see down there. Hell tell me when it starts to look like Godzilla but I just tell him if it bothers him so Mich he can shave it. But he doesn't want to do that because he's afraid hell cut me and end up in the hospital. On just gonna be hairy toll I have the baby

To funny!!! I'm 33 weeks and I cannot see down there at all. My man loves it, where as I hate hair any where!!! I shave everything buy lately only my under arms but since my pregnancy my hair doesn't grow back as fast. I will make sure I shave completely before I give birth. After reading some of these comments I'm going to try a mirror and electric razor. Thanks ladies!!! :-)

What I always do is use a small mirror in which I can see my private area and use hair removing cream .so area mirror comes in quite handy for such things

I do maintenance. Pretty much the bikini area I don't need to see to do that just prop my leg up at a good angle. If the hair on my lips get long I use a trimmer that has a guard on it, don't need to see to do that either but I check my handy work with a handheld mirror. I never will understand why a woman would want to have a vagina that looks like a child's with no hair at all though. And the man, makes me think he has some perverted fetish.

I just use hair removal cream all over it lol im 40 weeks it does the trick n only reason i do it is because this is my second pregnancy and the after birth bit is messy so i personally thinks it helps to keep clean x

I still shave.. I'm 32 weeks.  I use a mirror and an electric Shaver and it works good.  I used to shave with a normal Shaver but now it irritates my skin.  The electric Shaver trims it pretty short and you don't get the razor burn or the itchy hair growing back feeling.  :)

If my husband ever told me what to do with my appearance, including the presence (or lack thereof) of body hair, I'd most certainly be giving him a piece of my mind.
If you want to shave, do it. If you don't, then don't. It's not his choice. It's your body.
As you know, attempting to shave something you can't see increases the chance of injury, which increases the chance of infection. But it's entirely up to you.
I personally think it's behind creepy for a woman (especially a pregnant one) to want her labia to look like a 9-year-old's.

Have you possibly considered just getting a Brazilian wax?

Being hairy doesn't prevent infection, lol. But you have to do what makes you comfortable mama. I prefer keeping it closely trimmed myself.

I am 30 weeks and I still shave everything...I've been doing it so long I don't really have to see it, I can just feel it. I couldn't imagine going into labor with a bush, it would embarrass me. Haha

I use my Braun Silk epil 7 and I love it! I just change it to a shaver and it does wonders lol and what's best is that it doesn't irritate my skin at all and you don't have to see much to be able to shave.
