Creating2miracles those are the best thing for you! Once you already have cold symptoms vitamin C will not help. Vitamin C only boosts your immune system and works to prevent a cold. One you are already sick the best thing to take is Zinc. There is something in Zinc that inhibits viral reproduction so if taken early enough (when you first show symptoms) it can shorten your cold!

I feel your pain. :( I've been sick for a little over a month now with a cold/flu/allergies. I'm FINALLY starting to clear up a little bit, but I still have a cough that wakes the dead. Cough drops helped me a whole lot, then my ob told me that I can take benadryl (which will also help me sleep) I took it for 2 nights and started feeling better (coughing up mucus, throat wasn't hurting anymore, etc). Hopefully you'll find something that works for you.

I swear by Zinc losengers with echinacea and vitamin C for my colds. They work great and are all completely natural immune boosters as well as stuff your body needs anyway. Just watch to take the recommended amount on the bottle for it can cause a deficiency in other minerals your body needs. Good luck

You can take cough drops... when your at your OB next time ask them for a list of medications you can take while pregnant.... my list has stuff for colds, allergies, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, etc.
