signs of labor?

I have heard diarrhea is a sign of labor is this true?

A lot of women have diarrhea while in labor, but its in combination with contractions.... Not diarrhea alone.

Yes, it can be. But it could happen a few days to weeks before labor starts. It's your body's way of cleaning itself out. When I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks with my last baby, I had diarrhea. I thought maybe I had a stomach bug because later on that day, I started to vomit a little. Cramping off and on. Didn't hurt toooo bad. Got to L&D and was in labor. They stopped it of course and had him a day before I was due.

No, if that was the case we'd all think we were in labor the entire time. Who told you some silly crap like that? You should slap them.
