Just keep pumping, it will help keep your milk production up. Also try the Medela nipple cream. I LOVE it, I'm using it now while pregnant because my nipples are so sore. And like a previous poster said, my son did just fine going back and forth between bottle and breast. When they realize it's the same milk they take to it fine. Just get her tongue cut and she will be fine in a day or two!

I had a lot of trouble trying to bf with my last baby I chose I bottle feed my 1st 2 but really wanted to bf last time she didt have tounge tie but the hospital sent me home so I gave birth there & with noone to show me how to latch her properly within 24 hours I was sore bleeding & literally dreading feeding her :-( it was so tough & even tho I asked for help I never got the right advise so like u I gave up :-( but pumping did make me heal quickly as the brest milk heals the nipples so after a couple of days I did combination feeding brest feeding & also formula in the evening :-) it wasn't what I had planned but at least I got to feed her myself for a while I only lasted about 4 wks then I found she was sleepng better with the formula so I switched to that solely I was upset that I didt carry on but it was the best decision for me in the end

I say exclusive pump for now while she gets her tongue corrected...this will help you with production and pain. Unlike a lot of articles I read, my kids had no problem going from bottle to breast. The good thing is that your baby is getting breast milk. As you pump you can trigger your body to make more milk than you may really need to satisfy your baby which is great for stock. Once your nipples heal, you can go back to trying to get her to nurse...trying to fight through the pain may cause you to give up, so pump for now.

Its not to late. Just keep pumping until the doctor does something about her tongue.
