Pelvic Pain!

Im 25 wks. And I've been experiencing severe discomfort in what feels like my pelvic bone for a couple weeks. Although it isnt sore to the touch. Only when I move my legs (rolling over, sitting or standing) and its usually only at night or early morning but most painful in the middle of the night when rolling from side to side or just movement period. Anyone else experiencing anything like this? I can vaguely recall this feeling with my previous 2 pregnancies but it seems like it was at the very end... any input would be helpful at this point!

Yes I was afraid it was just all hitting me early this time! I have quite a ways to go but I'll manage one way or another. The belly brace is a verry good idea, makes sense to take the weight off my pelvic bone for relief!! I may have to get one soon. And taking it easy is a goal I set daily these days but with 2 VERY active boys it is extremely difficult!  I hope you get aome relief soon Sasha! :)

Im on my 3rd pregnancy to, and with my last 2 babes, I didnt have the problem until the very end. This time I was blown away in week 20 and on. It has gotten very severe! I cant even get out of bed on my own sometimes at night to go to the bathroom. I have heard of a few ladies going to the chiro for it, but I havent heard anyone say that it helps. for me it only got worse the further along in the pregnancy. the only thing I found is to take it easy during the day (which is sooo hard to do, but do it when you can) and wearing a support brace. the one I have I am barrowing, but it seems to support my hip area and take the baby weight off of my pelvis and give me a little bit of releif. My doctor told me that its the hormone called relaxin, and sometimes on second or third pregnancies, or pregnancies that are close together, the hormone kicks in a little sooner. It relaxes your joints to helo everything shift and spread through labor. Good luck! and take it easy! :)

Oh yes....I hear you!  This is my third and my hips started separating around week 28 so I've been in agony since (I'm 38 weeks).  Definitely painful particularly at night.  I can't do any of the exercises that physio provided anymore.  Every little twist or turn or lift of the leg is sooooo painful!  Nothing they can do until he arrives which will hopefully be soon.

Thank you! I will google some stretching ideas, although the yogo dvd I bought a few months ago could come in handy too lol. If I could get myself to use it!

i hear you!!! i am experiencing something very similar to this. my right hip really bothers me when i try to lift my leg in a resting position. so rolling over is a big killer for me too.
i looked some stuff up online and found a nice stretch that works for me...for a bit anyway. i haven't become very good at doing it enough. so sit in a chair and put your foot on your leg, so cross legged. foot on lap, not leg on lap. make sure you have good posture and slowly move your chest forward/lean forward. lean until you feel your hip tug/muscles stretching. hold that position for up to 30 seconds and do the other side. i hope that made sense. if your stomach gets too big to do that pose you can try doing it laying down...but i didn't listen to much to that one. sorry! i found it on a chiropractic pregnancy website. pretty early on in the search too so you might be able to find it again, it was a woman presenting if that helps narrow the search.
i hope that made sense and i hope it helps to some degree.

It's very common and usually occurs sooner in subsequent pregnancies. Tell your ob at your next visit. I had to see a chiropractor this pg for it. Unfortunately not much can be done for this. :(
