Buy fresh ginger root.. cut some nubs off and boil them.. it'll have a tinge of spice to the tea it produces, which is the best part for a sore throat, cough/congestion. Add a tablespoon of raw unfiltered honey and a few drops of lemon juice. Drink it as hot as you can handle! I drink this three times a day when I have a cough, it works wonders since its a natural remedy. Ginger also helps soothe nausea all it's purpose is served well!
I'm fighting the same thing this morning :( I drink decaffeinated hot tea with honey. It helps calm the sore throat. Hope you get feeling better.
