spicy food

Hey, I'm just coming up on 6 weeks pregnant. I know it's a little early to be getting cravings but I've found lately all I want to eat is spicy food! All my usual meals are just not appealing to me right now. I only want to eat a meal if it's smothered in hot sauce and chili's. I've read online that you should avoid spicy food while pregnant so I don't know what to do. Has anyone had experience with this type of craving? Is it really bad for the baby to eat spicy food?

I know further along it could cause heartburn but as for it being bad, not sure. I ate spicy not long ago and I was 25 weeks at the time.

I don't think it's bad. It can cause heartburn which isn't pleasant but if eating spicy food makes you happy then go for it!
