Eating shortly before starting the test will help to get baby moving, but if 7 eat too early, it will run thru you and baby's movements will miss the test

Is this standard for all pegnancies? I'll be 36 weeks on Tuesday and never read anything on my week to week paper work from my ob And she hasn't mentioned I'll be having this. I had an ultrasound at 31 weeks , my 4D and she said that would be my last one :/

They should be doing it twice a week until you deliver... they monitor the baby and do a ultrasound to make sure it is enough fluid around the baby and not getting to big...

Ahh. Okay. Thanks for the info. I haven't had any problems with movement. Just I am diabetic and they said they want to start monitoring sooner then lady. Kind of freaked me out. I'm 32+4 days. They didn't give me any instruction on doing anything before. I notice my baby instructions more active after I eat. Should I eat before I go?

It's called a non stress test.  They put a monitor on your belly to watch the babe's heart rate.  You have to push a button every time you feel movement.  Your babe's heart rate should increase with movement and go back to a baseline.  It basically makes sure that every thing is normal and no cord compression or stress on the babe with its movements. It's a normal test that is usually done at 36 weeks on.

Stress test for baby is when they monitor your bp and babys movement and see if your crontracting at all, along with monitoring babys heart rate. Good luck
