stretch marks

This is my first baby. I will be 13WEEKS tomorrow. I am starting to see stretch marks. What oils or creams should I use. My friends told me African 100% Shea butter is good. I also hear on YouTube some women say Bio oil works and some say no. Any suggestions?

Oh also if you're itchy avoid scratching. I rub or pat the spot because that can make them worse. Sounds weird but just stick with it.

I will recommend this to everyone all day long. I use mustela dbl action stretch mark cream twice a day and have since a few days after pregnancy test was +. It has been amazing so far. I have 1 tiny one on my hip i got around when u did, but at 37 weeks so far thats it and most the females in my family have a lot. I could still get them tomorrow or after birth, but so far it's worked great. I initially found it from reviews on sephora.com but the baby stores sell it. Buy buy baby has best price(it is pricey) and you can use 20%off coupon from any baby store or bed bath and beyond on it. So far i am saying best product ever because i know i'd be covered in them by now. My sisters (that have many marks)used palmers. We all gained a lot too.

Bio oil is good :) It doesn't leave u feeling greasy. It a gets absorbed easily. But dnt forget, stretch marks are mainly genetic. Oils and creams mainly help with hydrating your skin and keeps u from getting itchy. They dnt necessarily prevent stretch marks unfortunately.

The best thing you can do is stay hydrated and have a slow and stead weight gain. This will keep your skin hydrated and elastic and expand better.
