I'm almost 22 weeks Prego I had a tubal ligation mini lap w/ clips may 2015 so ur not the only one my doc said in 40 yrs he has not had any other patient or known doctors that have had a patient getting Prego after a tubal ligation . He also said my case was rare considering I literally got Prego a month after my procedure I even waited an extra 2 weeks to be  with my fiancé to be safe well so I thought! When my doc did the ultrasound to make sure it wasn't a tubal he had about a handful of other docs and nurses to check out the ultrasound Screen they all had the look of disbelief .My doc said the day I got my tubal ligation he did 5 women counting me total and I was the third and no other women have had a problem with there procedure . In the doc office I'm known as the lady with her tubes tide and expecting .. I'm still taking it all in and I found out at the end of my first trimester I'm still some what in denial about it .

See that's exactly why I don't wanna get my tubes tied... I used to work with a lady that got hers done and she ended up getting pregnant in her tubes... I'm just glad you don't have to go thru that... I've learned over the years that I seem to be always in that rare percentile so it makes me not wanna chance it at all... I'm on baby 5 now and I'm just gonna have to stay strong and say no to my man... I love him to death but this factory is closed for business...

There is a slight risk of becoming pregnant after tubal ligation. This happens to about 5 out of 1,000 women after 1 year. After a total of 5 years following tubal ligation, about 13 out of 1,000 women will have become pregnant.1
Pregnancy may occur if:
The tubes grow back together or a new passage forms (recanalization) that allows an egg to be fertilized by sperm. Your doctor can discuss which method of ligation is more effective for preventing tubes from growing back together.
The surgery was not done correctly.
You were pregnant at the time of surgery.
Tubal implants
Studies show that over 2 years, fewer than 1 out of 100 women with implants got pregnant.1
A tubal implant can be difficult to insert. Some women have to have a repeat procedure before both tubal implants are properly placed.

That's concerning. I've been hearing a lot about that lately. We're having our 5th baby and were planning on getting my tubes tied after this one. Now I'm not so sure. Did you get your tubes tied or cut?
