twins without knowing

Is it possible these days for a sono technician to over look a second baby. I will be 9 weeks tomorrow and had my 1st sono done yesterday, she used the machine on my left side where we could see the baby. I asked her if she was sure it was just one n she said how many do I see which I responded 1.  I've been feeling since I found out that I was prego that it was twins idk why it just seems so different this time around and this is my 4th pregnancy.  Twins run in my moms side of the fam. Just wondered if it is possible to npt notice a second baby in a sono this early.  Im pretty sure its prob just one just wanted to know if it could be possible

It's possible, a very close friend of mine didn't find out she was having twins until she was 29 weeks lol lil one was hiding much further up than where the other one was!

It is extremely unlikely that at 9 weeks an ultrasonographer would miss a second embryo.  If you could actually see, not just hear, in other words if you were having an ultrasound and not merely listening by doppler, you would have seen twins.  At that point, they are moving around like little gymnasts or teddy bears, and the beating hearts are clearly visible.

my sil had twins and she didn't find out until like 25 weeks cuz the other baby always shadowed his twin hb and all so it is possible.
