weight gain is making me so upset

Im 39wks 5days and im so upset with family taking pictures of me and sending them to other family members. im way bigger than I ever thought I'd be. I was 140 before baby and today I weighed in at 181. My face is fat and my legs and feet are swollen. I didnt think it was that bad until I see pictures of myself. I feel so down. Im crying and I just want my baby to come out so I can start losing the weight. I feel so humiliated. I didnt want to be "that girl that got too big during pregnancy" that everyone talks about.

Wow that really is not excessive! ! They say you should gain 25-35 and your St a total of 41 and in your last few days. I was 133 and I'm 26 weeks at 165 so I'm basically right where you are. My sister gained over 60 pounds and within a year was smaller than she was pre pregnancy literally without even trying. I look at pictures of myself too and think how huge I look and don't mind because I know it's baby weight, what is upsetting is that u have extra weight in my thighs.  I'm sure you look and will be fine. It's just hormones!

That's not very nice of them! First off don't be ashamed of your body.. You have growing another human life in there! Everyone reacts different to pregnancy and I too have gained a silly amount of weight and I'm only 25 weeks so I can only imagine what I will be by the end!

And lastly once your bubba is here you will be back to feeling like yourself before you know it!! Your baby, fluid and placenta weigh a lot and once all that is out of you your body will adjust back to its normal size!

You should do some research on how to incorporate baby into some exercise once your ready to get back into it!

I know it's really hard but try to relax and enjoy u r pregnancy, probably it's water weight, it's common to getsswollet too, I was 130 with my first pregnancy and I gain like 50 pounds three weeks later after giving birth I lost almost 30 pounds, and in 6 months i was back at 130, I think It was all pregnancy and not fat, just try to relax n eat healthy as possible ;)

When I told my friends I was pregnant they took great pleasure in telling me how big I was going to get. My female friends anyway. When I didn't get "huge" I had those same friends telling me that I wasn't taking care of myself and that my baby was going to be sickly and small. Well I happen to know thanks to my Dr. That my little girl is perfectly healthy and large for her gestational age. Women can be so subversively catty, maybe that's why most of my friends are men.

yeah some people it seems just hope that you get huge so they can talk about it. lol. i wont let people take my pic(i just say oh i look like poo today. maybe next time) and when i take pics i take several until i like one so i know i wont look terrible. I had a coed baby shower and in the game where you guess the belly size, every male guessed my size within literally 1/4-1". it was crazy, cuz every female guessed like 6 inches bigger. I think other women want you to be bigger than you really are sometimes. lol

Your family should not be doing this. Tell whomever in you're fam ur closest to how this is making you feel and ask that it stop.  I understand how u feel and have asked my fam not to take pics.  Hopefully they will respect your wishes. I'm sorry mama. In a couple of days u will start getting smaller and just get to think back on the beautiful baby ur body grew!
