Every body is different, and these calculators don't take into account muscle weight or water weight. If your dr isn't concerned, then I wouldn't be either. I gained 34lbs with my first, my daughter was born the end of july, but I was so swollen from the heat, I know a chunk of that number was from the water retention. I'm having the opposite problem with this pregnancy, severe morning sickness, 5'7" started at 148lbs and am down to 141 at 14 weeks. Calculator keeps saying I'm under weight, my ob was slightly concerned but knows that I will start gaining soon, my primary is not concerned as she's more understanding of the morning sickness issue and has been there through each of my pregnancies, my ob is completely new.
yeah the weight tracker on this app is way off. im at 33 wks 5 days and have gained 25lbs which they say is excessive but even if i gain a pound a week from here on out which i should im still under the recommended 35 lbs they say you should gain. i think the app max weight gain is set to the minimum you should be gaining per week which should be remedied. you seem right on track to me. i started at 160 5'6 and think i was at about 175 by 22 wks.
Don't listen to the calculator. I feel like it says everyone is overweight unless you look like a Victorias Secret model. I'm 5' 10" started out at 180. Am 24 weeks now and 200lb. The app says it's excessive weight gain which makes me feel like **** about myself. But my OB hasn't said a word.
