Yeah my morning sickness prevented me from gaining weight.  I had even lost some.  But after it all went away I put on like 8 pounds btwn weeks 17-20.  I think Thanksgiving food had something to do with it... Lol  My midwife said it all balances out.  So, I guess that's what she means.  It just hits you.  She did say that eating 80g of protein a day was crucial for baby though, so when I wasn't gaining, she just said to make sure I'm eating all that protein with my diet.

Yup, didn't start gaining weight until around 20 weeks.  I packed on 25 lbs since my morning sickness and food aversions went away.  But I'm a good weight, and baby is perfect!

Dont stress out, I was losing weight until 22weeks of my pregnancy and started gaining after words. I have been gaining 1lbs each week. I was  112 and lost 12lbs and was 100lbs and started gaining weight after 22 weeks. I am at 122lbs which is normal.

I didn't  gain weight until I was late in my second trimester I'm 36 weeks now and I have only gained 9 pounds! The doctor isn't concerned and my baby is a healthy weight.

Don't worry I lost 20 pounds in first trimester, gained back 5 around week 18, and now at 25 weeks I've put on another 8 pounds :) You'll start packing on whatever weight baby needs soon and you'll be reassured.
