when is a good time to go on maternity leave?

I'm 25 years old and I'm 34 weeks pregnant going on 35 In a few days and I'm still working. My pregnancy is a high risk pregnancy due to my weight but besides the pelvic pain and trouble sleeping I've had an easy pregnancy.  Was wondering when my doctor might put me on maternity leave? I have an my next appointment july 1st just extremely anxious!

i'm 31 weeks and still working I plan on working up until I have him. some days its hard because i work mostly at a desk with some walking to deliver paperwork. but because of sitting the majority of the day it pushes eveything up and some days my ribs will be killing me by the end of the day. I take a couple tylenol and finish the day then go home and lay down the rest of the night. usually.

I'm in the same boat. I'm 36 wks and still working 6 days a week. I have my csection scheduled for july 18 and I'm starting maternity leave july 15th. You can work up untill the day if ur doc says its safe doing whatever kind of job u do. I'm doing housekeeping and still going with no sympathy. Or help lol I'm high risk because emy water broke at 29 weeks with my son and had him at 33 wks. So far so good with this one. The excersize is very good for us! Good luck!

If your doc giVes you the ok to keep working then i woild. Unless they tell you to stop working. Also kinda depends if your from u.s or canada. Im from canada and was taken off work at 21 weeks so im on medical before i go on mat leave which we get a year here so taking it a bit early isnt always a bad thing. Most the time here our docs put us on medical b4 mat and then we dont miss anytimr at home with babe.

If you can handle work, stick w it as long as possible. I'm 38 w tomorrow and my csection is scheduled for week 39, so I'm working till my csection. It isn't always easy, but I want lots of time w my little guy.

The sooner you go on leave the less time you get v with the baby.  So I would stay at work as long as you can.
