wonderful food combinations...

Anyone have some ideas that just pop in your head but actually turn out delicious? Yesterday I discovered that green pitted olives halved, white onion (cut small), cherry tomatoes quartered, sesame seeds, olive oil, salt and pepper is absolutely gorgeous!  Made another salad today yum! Anyone got anything else? Id love to give it a try. I did have a fleeting moment of wanting a krispy kreme doughnut with a slice of cured ham on top early in my first trimester but never did it lol...

Yours are all so healthy lol. I dip tortilla chips in vanilla ice cream.  Sweet and salty! Also in the beginning I was dipping snickers bars into the peanut butter jar.
Last night for dinner I had coleslaw, grapes and sourdough toast. My husband thought I was crazy.

When I want something sweet & cold I've been making this smoothie. It's soooo yummy!! 1 frozen banana, 1/4-1/2 cup frozen blueberries, tbsp raw honey, tbsp raw coconut oil, tbsp ground flax seed, 1-2 tbsp almond butter & vanilla almond milk. I add a good handful of spinach if I have it. Gives you a good boost of the vitamins you need along with the perfect sweet balance. My husband even asks for it ;)

Sounds good I'll hav to giv it a try. Im really up for sweet and savoury things together. Another salad I love is chickpeas,  cherry tomatoes, red onion, parsley, coriander (cilantro), olive oil,  lemon juice and salt and pepper. So fresh and tasty. Or apple, beetroot, celery and rocket with a olive oil and mustard dressing. Spring time salads how fab!

Hey there! I've been incorporating fresh spinach & black beans in a lot of my dishes lately. I love a fresh spinach salad with black beans, dried cranberries, cucumbers, hard boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes & sharp cheddar cheese. You can also add sliced fruit, like strawberries! I usually top it with a little poppy seed dressing, to enhance the flavor! This salad is filled with foil acid, iron, protein & other vitamins! Enjoy!
