If its Diflucan that is an oral antifungal... Antibiotics won't treat a yeast infection.

It probably is an anti-fungal, there is a pill for yeast, but the still say to use the over the counter cream to help with the itching

The original poster had a bacterial infection that's why she was in antibiotics. If you suspect a yeast infection you should see your Dr to make sure you are treating the proper thing. Antibiotics will not treat a yeast infection, they only treat bacterial infections. A yeast infection requires an antifungal.

Don't take antibiotics for a yeast infection! You need to good flora to fight the yeast. Eat lots of plain yogurt, garlic and cut down sugars (they feed yeast and can make it sooop strong and hard to fight).

This may seem gross or tmi, but a natural way to help it is to put plain yogurt up there. Use a syringe or something. It really helps.

Sounds like yeast. Had my first one a few weeks back. It burns like hell and the clumpy white stuff looked and felt like cottage cheese. Once your finished with the pills it should clear up. Its one of the perks of being pregnant (NOT). Whatever you do, dont have any intercourse until its completely clear, you could pass it on to your partner. Good luck!

That is how yeast is, those probiotics really help. They have them near the monastat and vaginal health section at the drug store. It is very common to get yeast while on anitbiotics. I take the probiotics whenever i have to take antibiotics, since i know ill get yeast

That does sound like yeast. It is very important to finish the pills.
Eating yogurt and avoiding sugar will help prevent yeast, or get the Yazo probiotics. I used to get yeast infections all the time, then i just starting taking the probiotics when I suspected one was coming, worked wonders, also cutting out sugar

Its possible that it could be yeast, yeast infections can happen when your taking antibiotics but its still important to finish the whole course of antibiotics. If its yeast you'll be fine waiting until tomorrow when you have your appt. That way they can look at it under the microscope and let you know for sure what's going on.
