yeast infection

This is the first time I had a yeast infection.  I got a pill for it, it went away. But then it came back the next week. Did anyone go through this? Is there anything I can use?

I have had a lot of aggressive yeast infections. They are horrible! Sorry to hear you have a mean one.

Here's what has worked for me when no meds would work at all (I had been to multiple doctors and went to a gyne and have tried all kinds of OTC and prescription meds. Sometimes they just won't work).
-cutting out sugar/refined carbs does help to weaken the yeast.
-eat a lot of plain yogurt, you can also take probiotics with your plain yogurt because it helps the good bac multiply faster.
-insert plain yogurt up there. You can buy a kind of applicator/dropper sort of thing at the drug store to insert it.

Also try eating yogurt. It has good bacteria that helps.....my son is uncircumcised and got a yeast infection when he took antibiotics. The Dr said feed him lots of yogurt. Now anytime he has to have antibiotics I increase his yogurt intake.....it helps for me too....

Ladies... 3 things that work excellent for yeast infections and are safe during pregnancy. Unrefined coconut oil, raw apple cider vinegar, and garlic. Seriously. I have used all of these. The garlic can be overwhelming smell wise during pregnancy so I wouldn't try it. The vjnegar u can dab it around the whole vagina or use a a douche. The coconut oil, freeze in a bullet shape and put up in you like a tampon at night. Wear a pad tho.

I was just told to use the over the counter creams and such but you can also try to eat more yogurt, it has good bacteria in it that helps combat yeast infections.  I have one now and it is so annoying!

Cream: the stuff that comes with monistat or canestan. Liberal doses all around labia. Stay away from insert ovules. Keep on it for a week. My dr said unless you have insulin control issues, cutting out sugars does nothing BC they are processed before hitting your urine and your blood sugars should remain within normal range so there's nothing for the yeast to eat. Keep dry (change liners often) and go panty free at night once its resolved to prevent reoccurrence.

Take the meds and cut out all sugar! It's a bummer but will help your body clear it all out so it shouldn't come back. Good luck!
