He didn't say anything about ttc but I'm sure it's ok. My levels are ok now do I'm not worried about that. Better than the last time at least. I also found out with my miss last November that I have a bicornuate uterus but it's not severe. So I'm pretty confidant that we now know the things that could pose a problem and be able to deal with them. Just waiting now to see...
Wow that is pretty high for only 50mcg, mine was about 3-4, did he give you the okay to start TTC? My OB only told me to wait to ensure the fluctuating levo wouldn't affect baby too much, And yes, acne is a sign of pregnancy, I didn't get it with the last one, and haven't so far with this one! I'm due mid January, and it will be new for us too!! The only birthday we have outside of summer is a november birthday, so we're all pretty excited!
I just started taking it about five weeks ago. Just saw the doctor today cause he did the bloodwork again and I'm in normal range now. He said my tsh level was high at 10.4 and now it's at around 2 so that's normal. I find it funny that I have an under active thyroid yet I was producing too much tsh. Interesting. Anyway, he's keeping me on the same dosage at the 50mcg for now. Also my vitamin b levels leveled out so all looks good :) Now I just have to wait and see what happens with my period this month. I have had severe acne on my chest breasts shoulders back and face too and asked the doc about it if it could be from the b12 vitamins and he said that that's unusual. Could it be another indication of pregnancy?? I hope so! I'm bloated have acne sore boobs and swollen hands and feet plus some nausea and dizziness thrown in for good measure! I'm hoping I am this month! All babies in my family are from June through August so it would be nice to have one january or February!
I know the feeling!! I'm just now starting to bloat a little bit. My hypothyroidism isn't bad at all, it's just a little out of the range it should be, and I didn't have a problem carrying my DS, and this one (knock on wood) is going good so far. My doctor told me if you ever find out your pregnant DO NOT stop taking the medicine, ever, they will monitor and adjust your medicine as you go. Don't stress too much about your hypothyroidism being a problem while your carrying unless it's really high, and mine isn't super high, and you have the same dose as me! When did you start taking the medicine? My doctor told me to make sure I was adjusted to the medicine and making sure I was within a normal range for 2-3 months before my husband and I started trying, because some women it can take years to get them on the right dosage, and sometimes it just fluctuates from month to month!
I'm not sure how bad it is, but as of right now I am also on the same dosage as you for medicine. Have an appointment today to see if I need to be bumped up. I asked the doctor last week if I would have to be worried about the medicine if I find out in pregnant and he said that it would be fine because my levels have to get back to normal range. It's so strange because my boobs are never sore before a period, and they have been so sore for the past week and especially my nipples. Another symptom is that I am extremely bloated and my feet are swelling as well as my finger. Don't know if this is from the medicine or vitamins or if it is a sign of pregnancy. I hate the wait! Wish I could just get a definitive yes or no!
Well, I just found out I was pregnant about 10 days past ovulation, and had NO symptoms, and was so surprised at that! I'm about 5w3d and still have hardly any, except sore nipples, BAD, and dizziness, that just started. I also have hypothyroidism, I was pregnant before with my son and had a fairly normal pregnancy, and have hypothyroidism with this baby, and am on levothyroxine 50mcg, and will have blood draws to ensure my levels stay within normal range. How bad is your hypothyroidism, do you know?
