Am I pregnant?

I'm going to be sixteen in about four days, but I've been sexually active for a little while now. We don't have health insurance so I'm not on birth control, but I do use protection and will not have sex without a condom. A few weeks ago the condom broke, so my boyfriend bought me plan b. My period came about a week late after that, and my period after that was right on track, the one following that was on track as well, but very light and short. We have had sex after all this, the condom didn't break, but my period is five days late now. I typically have a 29 day cycle and I'm on day 34. I'm not cramping, but I am having gas that I don't typically have. Though I do have it as a PMS. I've also been stressed lately and I'm trying to decide if the combination of factors of stress and Plan B from the last situation (though I feel like that shouldn't be a factor any more) are delaying my period rather than a pregnancy. This situation is stressing me out and I would really appreciate the imput, thank you!

I took Plan B once and it totally messed up my cycle in that way! I wouldn't worry about it since you've bled so much already. Typically, you don't bleed that heavily if you're pregnant. That's what my GYNO told me once!

So, our periods can be late for a variety of reasons such as stress, changes in routine, weight gain or loss, illness, blips in our hormones, the time change from winter to spring, etc.  You can take a home urine test to be safe but you always use condoms and they didn't break . . .so you were protected. PLUS, plan B will definitely mess up your cycle for about 2 to 3 months after taking it.  That's very normal and common.  Try not to stress, I'd bet my left arm you are not pregnant.
AS far as birth control and insurance, there are clinics where you can pay a fee and get them and it's not expensive.  Planned Parenthood if you live in the United States is one of them.  Might be worth looking into and then you'd have that AND condoms as a back up.  good luck
