Okay, I understand. I guess you will have to just wait it out. Nothing you can do short of that. I do think that you are going to have to bite the bullet with your husband and get yourselves some health coverage. If you were pregnant, you'd need it, right? I had insurance and STILL had out of pocket costs during my deliveries. And with insurance now, it's not like all is covered with no out of pocket. We get a lot of well visit free care like physicals, but if sick or surgery, we have a family deductible that we must pay first cumulatively on an annual basis before we are reimbursed. So, budgeting for medical care is something a couple should do. I guess another option is to wait a week or two and then go to a clinic rather than a private OB office and do self pay which they sometimes will do on a sliding fee scale based on income. I understand though, we have to have a serious issue to go to the doctor even with insurance because we hate paying out of pocket for things until we reach our deductible. It's screwy and frustrating. But I've read that those countries with universal health care (all are covered by the government) have a ton of limitations and isn't good at all either. No good answers other than saving our pennies and having the cash there IF we need it (hoping we don't). hugs
There is really nothing you can do. I'm sorry, I know that is frustrating! Unless your doctor is on board to give you the HCG test and it sounds like you are not going to contact them for that, all you can do is wait to see what happens over the next two weeks. I personally would ask for the HCG test. good luck
It's really hard to say from the outside looking in. Ask for blood work, that determines FOR SURE the direction it is heading. They can track the HCG levels--- if they increase in a 2 day span, pregnant, if they don't, miscarriage or if not there at all, never pregnant. That's really all you can do at this point other than wait and see. hugs
You could be, hon. Some women do bleed during pregnancy and have what is like a period (but not) in early pregnancy along with some mild cramping. That you had two pregnancy tests means you were definitely pregnant (as long as you read them correctly and didn't let them sit as when you leave them sit and read them later, you will see evaporation lines which do not mean pregnancy). Give this a few more days and it will become more clear. They 'could' if they were going to be nice, do some blood work and find an HCG number for you. If it is increasing, then pregnant. If it is decreasing, miscarriage. and if there is none at all, never pregnant. You could request that? Let us know how it goes and so sorry this is so stressful!
