As anyone gotten pregnant on the nuvaring?

Just wondering if anyone has gotten pregnant on the nuvaring? Oh and if when you put it back in are you suppose to do it at the same time of day too?? I know you are suppose to put it in on the same day, not sure about the same time? I don't think I've been putting it in at the same time of day. I had a little cramping around the time I SHOULD have been ovulating. Didn't really think anything of it at the time. But when my boyfriend came home from out of town, we fooled around w/o protection and he didn't pull out. So wondering how likely it would be to get pregnant???

Well I haven't been on any meds that would mess it up. I KNOW that. BUT it does seem that alot more people get pregnant on the nuvaring. Like I said I NEVER take it out besides the one week. And put it back in at close to the same time of day that I took it out. And I do know I had it back in more then 7 days before my boyfriend came home from out of town. Guess I just have to wait and see. I have my yearly on Sept 2nd. Maybe I'll switch to something else IF I'm NOT PG.

I am wondering the same thing as you. I switched from nexplanon to the nuvaring and for the first 7 days had unprotected sex. I didn't know any of this till I researched more. Took it out Thursday and today is Sunday and no period. Have pregnancy symptoms but gonna wait to take a test a little bit more. Could I be pregnant?

Well I haven't missed it yet. It's due in like a week. I will probably at least wait till the weekend. But I will try the first response. THanks

Apparently recent studies have showing that the nuvaring has had higher instances of pregnancy however they believe it is because of incorrect usage. It's harder to use correctly than other forms. Additionally no form of birth control is 100% effective other than not having sex. There are some medications that can effect your birth control from working properly such as antibiotics among other things. I hope this information helps.

if you've already missed your period then you should be fine taking a pregnancy test, I suggest a first response pregnancy test as they are the earlest ones to detect pregnancy usually! Good luck

Yeah I got PG in the pill because of the same thing.

I never take it out besides the 1 week. Not 100% sure if I ALWAYS put it back in at the same time. I'd say pretty close though.

I got pregnant this time around on nuvaring but I had a UTI and bronchitis and was on a cramp load of medication for a month prior. You're only supposed to take it out maximum 3 hours a day and when you take it out for the week you are supposed to put it back in at the same time you took it out. For instance if you took it out at 5pm on Sunday the following Sunday you would put a new one in at 5pm

Well I just had some cramping thinking I had to go to the bathroom. Went pee and when I wiped it was pink. ???? I HAVEN'T had ANY break through bleeding since I've been on the nuvaring. Everything has been like clock work. Still be too early to take a test I would think though. Maybe I'll wait till the weekend.

I got pregnant on nuvaring, but it was right after I had a miscarriage, so they said that was probably why. it is supposed to be just as effective as the pill, but people do get pregnant on the pill as well! I was told the time of day does'nt really matter as long as it is the right day, but it probably would be even better if it waa around the same time. take a pregnancy test and find out for sure! I was on it and never got pregnant. It took about a month after going off of it before I got pregnant.

Thanks for the feed back. Yeah I'm NOT sure if I was using it correctly. A couple times I know I didn't put it back in around the same time of day. The pharmacies around me didn't have any so I had to wait till after work a couple times to go by my house.

My good friend got pregnant on it twice :) Not sure if she was using it correctly, though; maybe that was the issue... If you are using it correctly, it should be very effective.
