Tell me what you think...I had a cycle on Jan. 31 and I took a test on the 26th of Feb. and results were positive. When I called to make an appt. the nurse was like it could be a false positive. She wants me to wait a couple more days to see if my cycle comes on then take another test before I make my OB appt.?

I've read some information on it and I don't even know why I'm thinking that way (about false positives). With every pregnancy, I've taken the same brand test and they were all positive. I am happy and then overwhelmed... my oldest is 12, andy youngest is 5. I'm currently unemployed but enrolled in online courses due to graduate this winter...which is also my ddate.

The tests test for hcg levels in ur urine. There is no such thing as a false positive. If u have hcg in ur urine then that is the sign of pregnancy. If tested too eearly you have the chance of picking up a chemical pregnancy which means when u next test in a couple of days it will be negative as the hcg will have dropped again but even then it is still not a false positive.

You can get a false positive if there's a certain protein in your urine.

Well dont listen to your nurse, my doc told me you cant get false positives, so if your test was positive you are pregnant, do another test tho if it says the same then go with that
