Pregnancy symptoms or...

I was 12 days late for AF. I'm never late, ever.  I had my regular PMS symptoms but then no AF to show for them. They then just disappeared. I hadn't been sleeping for two-three weeks at this point. I will wake up already sitting up on the edge of the bed, getting up to pee or I'm just tossing and turning the entire night. You would honestly think I was a diabetic or something with how many times I pee a day at work.... My lower back just aaaccchhhes so so bad -- on the tailbone where you sit and in the lower lumbar area... my stomach has been feeling unwell, I'm excruciatingly sleepy and I can't even eat my favorite chocolate without getting disgusted by the taste and smell. Not to mention my boobs are sore I went to dinner last night and could only eat three mozzarella sticks before feeling completely full. My period came but it doesn't feel... right? It's hard to explain, my lower stomach feels really heavy which it never feels like this during a normal period. When I got AF I put the "baby craze" out of my head because my period had come so I felt more reassured that it was all fine but the symptoms haven't gone away if anything they've gotten worse. I'm scheduled for a quantitative HCG but I didn't know if this was just possibly STILL all in my head even after SEEING what I think is a cycle? It's most definitely not nearly as heavy as it usually is. Usually AF comes heavy for me in the beginning and light at the end, but now it's just ... light. Not spotting light, but not a normal period either... Many women in my family have had their periods while pregnant so that's why I'm concerned...

Hello...the only way to know for sure what is happening in your body is to visit your doctor. Symptoms of pregnancy aren't the same for everyone and often mirrors symptoms of a period. Also, sometimes our brain is very devious in conspiring with our body to produce certain symptoms because we have planted the idea -- this might be why are having these pregnancy symptoms. However, you cannot know for sure until you visit your health care provider. Some women do have a bit of bleeding in the early early parts of conception and you mentioned an unusually light period for you.

Good luck...keep us posted. :-)

I should also mention the fact that I've had to SERIOUSLY fight back the urge to cry at stupid stuff. My boss asked me if one of our vendors had gotten back to us yet and I just started crying for absolutely NO reason explaining i haven't heard from them yet. Wtf! I'm NOT like that! I literally rarely ever cry...
