This is for a friend of my fearing she may be preg

Hi all. I have a friend who cannot speak w anyone else about this, so I told her I would do some research for her..

Heres the thing. She had quit taking the depro vera in june 2011 after being on it for six months. Her periods have been really irregular since. Recently its beem getting back to the normal with in the past five months.

She had started her period this last month  on feb 16th and ended completely on the 22nd. Six days later only for that day she had spotting and she felt real odd about it.

She had sex (unprotected) on the fallowing days this month:
2.5.12
2.7.12
2.10.12
2.13.12
2.25.12

Again she started  2.16.12
                 Ended   2.22.12
         Had spotting 2.28.12

If you can help your opinions would help me give her the best answer of what it may have been whether it was just backed up menstrual blood discharging or implantation or what.

Thanks much for your time.

I was on depo for 6 years and never got a period the whole time. In September I stopped it and I never got a real period, I thought. My period lasted a day and was super light. In December I found out I was pregnant. So even though I didn't think I was ovulating and never thought it was my period. I was wrong to my surprised. Now I'm 16 weeks pregnant with my first. So its possible that she could be pregnant. Even my doctor told me I wouldn't be able to get pregnant for at least 6 months after I stopped depo but I guess I proved that wrong. Good luck to you and your friend.

Symptoms could mean alot of things. I wouldn't go on them. Just have her take a test. That is the only way to be 100% sure. If her body is still adjusting to being without the depo shot it could have been either of the two causes. The only way to know for sure is to test. Good luck

She also just told me her boobs have been tender but this has not been a recent thing that they have been hurting 80% of the time since late november? I don't know if that's anything to do with the above post just thought I could add it in.

it could have been implantation bleeding on the 2-28-2012 because implantation could happen 6-10 days after a period and it could vary from spotting or its like a cycle but a very light cycle to even spotting that looks like old blood like brownishtan, pinkishtan, and a very scant pink. i would suggest that if she is worried that she is pregnant then she should do a HPT on march 7th or if she wanted to do an HPT if she is like 2-5 days late on her cycle.

Because her cycles are still somewhat irregular it could be hard to determine whether it could have been implantation bleeding or spotting from a period.
Wait about 2 weeks and take a home pregnancy test using first morning urine. Go from there. If its negative take another test in 2 weeks if she doesn't get her period. She should use condoms or some other form of BC if she's not trying to become pregnant. It will eventually happen if she is not careful.
