Was it too early to test for pregnancy? I am afraid I might get pregnant.

I finished my oral pills last january 25, I took a pregnancy test but it was a negative. We "did it"2nd week of february and first week of march but my second pregnancy test was still negative. But I havent got my period since february, it is going 2 months now. Was it too early to test? i am afraid i might be pregnant because i havent taken any pills since february.

I don't think it was too early to test.  You don't sound like you are pregnant.  Things that can cause an really long cycle like this are thyroid issues.  Or hormonal issues.  I had both in my 20's and had a period every 3 to 4 months!  My thyroid worked slowly and I naturally was producing too much estrogen. I often had PMS the entire 3 to 4 months.  Very annoying!  A simple blood test can determine your thyroid level and hormone levels.  But docs usually want you to wait three months with no period before seeing you (my experience).  The long cycles and period so infrequently went on for me for a year and a half and then out of nowhere, righted itself and I had a regular 28 day cycle again.  And all of my hypothyroid and estrogen issues decreased and disappeared.  Not sure why.  The big issue with such an irregular cycle is if you are trying to conceive OR if you are relying on knowing when your period is for birth control (best to get on something that will continuously control your birth control or use a condom every time) it is trickier.

Lots of women do indeed have difficulty getting back into the groove of regular menstruation after being on the pill and coming off.

So, I hope that helps and it sounds like you'll need to talk to your doctor in the near future.  My guess it is the fact that you stopped BC pills.  good luck

If it's been two months since your period, and you had sex- yes, it's possible that you are expecting.  It's also possible that you could be stressing. possibly the going off the hormones caused an issue, or something else might be causing a delay- but I'd really recommend getting a test again if it's been more than two weeks since your last test.

Anytime you have sex- with a condom or on the pill you still have a small chance of pregnancy, but if you aren't taking any measures- your chances jump pretty substantially.

If you are still getting negative tests and still no period, go ahead and get to the doctor to talk to them about what might be causing the delay.  It's not good to go too long without a period, typically.  It's also a good idea to talk to your doctor about your options if you want to go off the pill- so you can prevent pregnancy if you would like to.
